Society's
Legal Status
The
Society is not a political pressure group or a private
philanthropic foundation. It is a public charity
and, consequently, it is subject to the supervision of
the Attorney-General and to Part II of the Charities Act
1978. As a charity, it is also governed by the law
relating to trusts and charities.
